Just had need to use my stop-n-go tyre plugger, not on my bike tho:D

The hole was in the tread block well away from any of the grooves.

Should the tyre be replaced (a nearly new battleax 020) or are the plugs ok to be left in.

The bike in question probably wont see any hi speed work till spring, just the usual comute through town.

I believe any on bike repair kit is only a temporary fix and you should get o proper plug fitted from the inside by a professional tyre repair/fitting service.

I had to plug a front tyre halfway down france - took it gingerley for a few miles - then sorgot about it - went round the alps etc came home - all hi-speed -never did replace it till the tyre wore out

takes yer chances......

Me too, had a plug done at a local tyre repairer for a few quid and kept the tyre till it was almost knackered. In fact until I could see the plug really wearing away with the tyre. No Problemo.
