Polite rider

Try spaying your car jam sandwich style or sickly yellow with 3m blue patches and adding POLITE front and back and see how far you get :D

Waste of time wearing one in Ireland anyway, our cops have "Garda" on theirs.

Mate of mine used to ride an ex Garda Honda CBX750 - all in white, with an Everoak lid and day glo jacket.
On the back of the lid was the legend GARGLE :D

Yeah there was a man and (wife ? ) at Weston bike night last week, wearing the hi-vis with POLITE on it - but also the blue and silver chequer reflective strips - most people looked and thought 'twats' , but didnt think you were allowed the blue/ silver chequer . they walked pat the traffic police and camera van on display but nothing was said :nenau Dont mind some hi vis - but its no safer if your not paying attention. Some people look but just dont see - too many people wearing hi vis now ?

Saw a polite hi viz today in beadle !! What a knob and on a GS too so if it's you leave it out !!!!!!

Twats

Seen two of these pricks today wearing chequered "Polite" viz vests outside Carrickfergus Castle. Defs Cop wanna be cocks sitting on their bikes throwing the evil eye and everything. I was actually quite embarrassed for them. Wise up boys!!!

A guy I know a few years back bought, for his sins one that spelt "CAUTION" in neon blue had a battery source and flashed in blue lights front and back just like the Garda
Scarlet or what !
I thought he bought it for a joke put my 2 feet right in it, laughing at him.

Two at Knutsford service doing the Ride to the Wall.

Looked absolute bell-ends...

Doesn't Pat from PHD Motorcycles in Oranmore ride a POLICE Harley all the time and it is marked Police not polite.

I'm all groovy with hi vis, but these Polite hi vis are nothing more than passing yourself off as a policeman

I'm with you on this Flipfly, I used to wear a long sleeved hi-viz yellow vest, over summer not bothered but I am considering getting a orange/yellow vest precisely to not look like a police rider and keep the shite off my jacket.

I just dont see the need for "polite" jackets, all it does is p**s people off when they see what they think its a police bike only to find out its a con artist....it justs gives the anti motorbike bridgade more ammo.

Traffic cops in Dublin will tell you it's ok as long as you don't have GARDA on it. I still would not do it and I had a minty FLHTP in the 90's with sirens ans lights but no stickers on it. Brought it in from UK and sold it for a big profit to Lenny who now owns Waterford HD I believe.

There's one on a fazer I see on my commute most days. Makes me feel anything but polite.

Seen two couriers in these recently.
Maybe someones bought a job lot and is flogging them to 'professional riders'.*

*these guys were anything but professional when i saw them riding. :(

Cyclone couriers are using them. I also saw a girl on horseback wearing one.

I'm of the 'couldn't give a toss what other people wear' school of thought.
