I have never been to Loomies I was just using it as an example of a "Bikers Caff"That’s put the mockers on it, Loomies is a dump.
We rode past once on a Wales trip, didn’t stop as it was full of motorcyclists. Looked a bit like Devils Bridge at Kirkby Lonsdale in that respect. Its the "Loomies of North Wales" its on top of the Horseshoe Pass nr Llangollen

People in the area will now use
Sams Cafe at A&D
Chain and Sprocket Ruthin
Old Mill Pontblyddyn (which gets great reviews but I find lacks parking and is a bit gloomy inside)
Ahhh been past many times will drop in next time looks a really nice place - saw the photo on A&D of you picking up the V85, hope you are enjoying itthe cafe at Llyn Brenig is quite nice, on a weekday, pretty rammed at weekends I imagine.

I went there on the way back from my first visit to A&D last July. Sally only offered me £4k for my RS against a full price bike. 7 months later I am £2500 better off!
I'm sure you know of it but, there is of course also The Old Stores cafe on the A5104 Corwen road just up from the Wrexham Mold road the A541 that's worth a mention. Parking can get crowded there too. Great bike themed cafe.It has been a long time meeting point for bikers of all sorts

The one in town , if you come in over the bridge up towards the traffic lights at the top of the main street, Not the first road on the right but the second , if you come down from the traffic lights it's first left, ( now a one way street up to the car park) the car park is passed the toilets on the left, turn into the car park, parking for bikes is on the right down the wall . Hope this helpsHad a quick butchers at the car parks, which one is free for the bikes?![]()
Glad you are getting on with the V85It's great now I have reassembled the pannier lock and intercepted the postman to make sure the V5 came to me not the address Stewart put on the paperwork...he did ring me yesterday to apologise and a few minutes later the postie delivered the V5 to me not #7. Good job I looked at the printout they gave me the day after collecting the bike, then spoke to the postie on Saturday as the chap at #7 is a bit reclusive, does not answer his door and has the curtains drawn all day.
The bike seems to be okay for the primary reason for change i.e. the upright riding position is less hurty on my hip. It's a joy to ride. Good view and wide bars together with the excellent Dunlop Trailmax Meridian tyres help that.
The bespoke app for music and navigation is rubbish. It worked fine in nav mode to get to Aberdyfi in first use but not now. It pairs with my phone, giving the screen icon but says "app connection needed". I will be using my Garmin 390 once I have added a 12V power source to the cockpit. I use the satnav in visual mode only, I have no desire for music or phone connection when riding and certainly don't want an intercom. I suspect declining to connect a headset might be why the bike is having a connection hissy fit, but weird it worked for one journey.
The only thing I have found slightly annoying when riding is that the throttle is a bit jerky in sport mode on a tight hairpin in 2nd gear. Switch to road mode and it is lovely. Sport mode is fine when dapping along less twisty roads and at least you can flip modes easily using the cruise button rather than dicking about with screen menus.
