Because BMW like all other manufacturers are run by bean counters, not engineers. They probably save thousands of Euro's by not fitting them.

Properly designed end caps could allow the pipe to drain. Depending on the end cap you get from your home center it will not be an issue.

All Bunged up !!

Fit what you want, you are a grown up

Before I looked on here and saw the nice bungs I didn't realise they were made for the Bikes so,I decided to bung me oles on the (very ) cheap !!

As wine bottles etc have Corks,I thought yep,corks will do.
Bag of mixed sizes off ebay,£2.99 some sizes fit,others too big so obviously not used

Depth cut to suit,ends coloured with permanent marker,job done.
Easily removed if need be and easily replaced.

Might have to get some posh ones now though
