Hi all
My 2004 gs with 14500 on the clock which was by the first owner has had a full bos exhaust decat and bmc filter ,I have had it about 2500 miles .i do ride it hard and it pulls well at 5000 rpm I am not sure if it has been remapped anyway should it pop back on shut off most of the time I run super unleaded and the plug colour is good .is this normal could it do with new plugs maybe

Air gets sucked down the exhaust or maybe you have a tiny leak in the header. Just keep the throttle shut on overrun or learn to luuurve the pops.

All my Gs's (2006, 09, 12) have popped on the overrun but with the standard exhausts - I love it. All should be ok - I assume it's not violent and you haven't blown the end off the can?!

My new (to me) 2012TC has always gently popped and burbled on the overrun (standard exhaust).
As posted above, if yours is more violent bangs rather than subdued popping then it's probably an air leak in the exhaust - check all the joints and reseal as necessary. That said, my old 1100 with standard exhaust used to catch me out every now and again and do a proper bang when throttling off from highish revs. Frightened the bejesus out of the missus :)
