Any of the Scottish chapter can give a decent long range weather forecast for next weekend?

All i can get out of met check is either every season under the sun in two days, or belzubub is ready to gatecrash the barbie

Saturday night

Would be nice to have a quick heads up so i can work out what to pack gear wise

Play safe and take a south-wester to go along with the mankini :D

Aye, plan for sunny intervals with the risk of passing showers, possible sea breeze which might also affect the temperature briefly. Beer will be cold, burgers hot. And some sun cream to avoid chaff marks around the mankini. Other than that it might be variable but better inland. But expect some strange accents, they're not used to foreigners

Was planning on coming across next week on the bike but had a disaster today.

Just set off, loaded up with the wife and the final drive gave up. Oil all over the back wheel, disk and a wobbly wheel.

So now I'll have to pop over in the car.

Portsoy

Hi Alistair, I added my name to the list a while back and was up to Portsoy on Saturday past for a wee look see, what a brilliant spot especially as the sun had its hat on. Anyway after reading a few of the latest posts, I’m unsure if you have booked a group pitch and we square you up or we need to pay the camp site directly.
Cheers

You'll pay the campsite directly, you have to book with them for campervans or hostel, with tents list it with me, no other booking needed but payment to the campsite when you arrive

Route sorted?

Undecided, i have the option of going left Glasgow Loch Lomand , Glencoe, Loch Ness ie clock wise , or right Anticlockwise Glasgow, Falkirk, Perth, Caingorms

maps says about 30 mins in it .... Ive done clockwise twicce now, its a brilliant route .... but then again the appeal of something new is fun too
