Picking up my new 1200 GSA on wednesday, just took my Autocom off of my 1150 GS and was wondering if anyone can tell me the best / easiest position to site it on the new bike ?

Autocom recommend the tool-tray and that's where mine is. There are a few threads on it in the comms section of the board. My dealer initially fitted it to the bracket that holds the handbook but there's a risk of it getting water-damaged there.

I put my autocom on the vertical book holder bracket but it picked up an electrical whine..

Moved it to the tool tray and it's fine.

Mine was fitted to the bracket that holds the handbook on my 05 model and is the same place now on my 07 model:thumb So thats 4 years and over 35K miles, works for me.

Dealer fitted mine on the handbook bracket, which leaves a nice space for the radio in the tooltray.
