Possible R800RT in 2025

This is where I saw it.. on the RealOEM parts site

The state of our roads is another big facter in why so many of us have swapped to adventure bikes. As much as I love my Pan it’s getting harder each year to ride on our rutted, pot holed and ever more collapsing roads. Riding on road is the new offroad for most of us.
Ha ha🤣 that has always been my take on the move to ADV bikes...😆 Posier, taller in traffic and with suspension able to deal with the modern roads shite... Even in the last few weeks of winter up in Aberdeen/Aberdeenshire there have been holes appearing that make you swerve around them on a GS... 😬 And they were shite enough before...!

Just came across these guys.

Their 800 tourer looks pretty much like I imagine an R800RT would look like.

Shite graphics though.

Had a look and after being an RT LC owner there are many similarities... They have a big range of bikes and unusual as a Spanish manufacturer... I'm not a bling biker these days but they certainly are offering a blinged up bike for those that want that and if BMW ever try it you'd imagine a similar bike... So they probably won't...🤣

I think the bikes are built on china and white labelled in Spain. I would like BMW to do an 800RT that’s exactly like the current bike but shot with a shrink gun 🤓 I’ll probably end up getting an early 1250 though but we shall see.

I thought they might be a Chinese relabel much like BM do... Obviously the way it's going for these types of bikes and it's always the base of the bike and parts availability that helps make a market presence... Weirdly after owning a 1200RT LC it seemed quite small next to bikes it's taken over from like the Pans... Certainly interesting if there were other rivals like the Mitt but ADV bikes are so dominant it'll be market forces that decide...

Yeh, fair point. I found the RT very manageable in general and with the boxes off it felt like it was a smaller bike. It’s just that I feel it’s overkill as I don’t tour or do motorways, more half day rides around A and B roads in Scotland and for running errands etc. Being an all year biker in Scotland the big attraction is the weather protection and shaft drive. I did consider the V85TT GUZZI but I had a V7 previously and did not enjoy the glitches and 2 months in the workshop so nervous of another. The new Triumph 800 looks very tempting too.

I try for all reasons, all year and my 11GS rigged with gaucho is 3/4 an RT... The LC RT was a great bike and easy to live with but the earlier RTs especially the 1150 were great for use and abuse .. I see the appeal of a smaller RT like bike and especially trying to max the MPG of smaller engines but the smaller you go the more how you use it effect it... MY RTs and especially my present GS run at 50+ mpg whatever and that's pretty good for the bigger engines...

Oh and the big screen on the GS...😁 It's having a few days off...😂

Nice, it looks like it's seen a lot of life! :) I had a 1200GS before the RT with one of those screen extender things and it worked well.

Yep it's my 5th and only bought because of the screen...👍 I've had R80/100/1150/1200/1200LC RTs, and K75/100/1100 LTs... I have a lot of time for the RT ethos and if this GS crapped out I'd probably get another 1150RT to flog all season... I'm presently trawling for an old Airhead RT just for the hell of it and to save another from Bobberdom...👍😁 Just a great all round concept...

Anything that saves an airhead R from the crime of bobberism is to be applauded :thumby:👏
