Postie arrived

Think you wasted your time there.
That box you have behind your reg plate sticks out as far as the bling.

It does look huge in the photo, but that's only due to poor photography. It's the size of the plate as you will see shortly. It's amazing the amount of muck that gets past it. Hopefully the little extender will help, however it feels like it is made of paper so I'm not hopeful that it will survive much abuse.

What's that & where did ya get it ?
If ya say 'rear rack' & 'off t'internet' there'll be trouble :rob

You do know the stuff on your screen isn't actually on the Internet. It's just a photo :blast

I saw the photo here :thumb. The site is in German but Hatt answers emails in very good English and will bypass the system and let you pay him directly with PayPal. The rack arrived with a very nice bottle of German beer! Made fitting it much easier.:D

If you are interested keep an eye out, it will be in the items for sale section soon complete with an aluminium top plate and Givi mounts.

Highly unproductive day today. Why is it when you have a hangover and just want to be left alone in the shed that the world and its mother wants to bloody visit :blagblah:blagblah:blagblah:blagblah:blagblah:blagblah:blagblah:blagblah:blagblah Me feckin head hurt enough before they arrived.

Anyway, got a few bits done.

The storage box pushes the plate beyond the reach of the standard lights. A bit of soldering was needed to get the new number plate lights in place.

Then a little tidying up.
8587737746_21ab83c96b_z.jpg

Add a new number plate and frame and it comes up nicely. Can you see the little Goldwingification?
8587738522_6fcee668cc_z.jpg

Well you can't miss it here.
8587738294_19bfd8c3dc_z.jpg

Very pleased with that I am.
8587736972_fd314896c3_z.jpg

Should hopefully ward off some rear enders in bad weather.
8586637671_cf8138c931_z.jpg

Anyway, enough of the bling. I better get some goodies from the box or some people won't be able to sleep :D

So, first big part from the box is...

Lots of German air. I wonder would it sell on fleabay?

Then came some rather nice stainless steel.
8587737160_fe646597e8_z.jpg

Now follow Touratech instructions.
Fit rack using M6x40 bolts.

How the fu k do I fit it if you twats put M8x40 bolts in by mistake. Bleeding German precision is not standing up to the test. So off to the spare bolts box.

Yes, yes, two pristine M6x40 bolts in it:friday

So we do a loose fit.

... and thats all for tonight.

Right, let me see if I have this right....???

Jockser has got himself some random bits of wood and built himself a kitchen. Some other tosser notices that he's the recipient of a couple of packages that have definitely got sticky tape on them. It then turns out that he's not done a proper job of grouting his floor. This seems to have triggered some form of paranoia, as the Jockser believes he's a prime target for being cloned (is he 1/ a tosser of slim build? 2/Hung like a donkey? 3/Got a bigger than average wallet?). I'm going for reason number 3, as he has now revealed he has enough spare wonga, in these austere times, to purchase large items from Touratech.
It's took two weeks to get to this stage and some people are still asking whats in the boxes? Well now Hughie Green.... I'm pretty sure they will be empty. New panniers never arrive with stuff in them :blast.
Another point to make while I'm here. I really think Jockser is trying too hard to hide his identity. He has a members name to make you believe he's Scottish.
Claims to reside in Ireland and get's German people to send him beer.

Well I've sussed you out Mr. Jockserio, I'm pretty damn sure from speed you're working at, that you Sir, are in fact...

SPANNISH. :beerjug:

Tell me I'm right.. oooh please tell me I'm right..... do I get a prize, have I won anything???:roll

Tiperty tapped into the ether by my right index finger.

Bugger it was originally posted by RobertG. OK I'll start again.
Right, lets see if I've got this right.....

More box opening tonight.

Needed to tie the rear extender and box to the pannier frame first. It was just close enough to rattle like hell if left alone. Then get the frame all tightened up.

Then the big boxes get opened and lovely black Zega Pros appeared. Look lovely now. A few weeks of road crud will sort that finish :D. The sooner the better so I don't have to worry about scratches:eek:

So we can't buy drink tomorrow. So I may have to join in the national pastime of moaning about that fact and making sure to drink even if you don't want to

Nothing fell off today. Probably too cold!

So the bike looks like it's fit for its trip to the Alps.:clap

Had a quick look in the mirror and I'm not quite sure I can say the same for its pilot. :P
