Posting a link

I have a slight problem; I used to be able to use the 'link' icon and post a single word link, you know, like here and this[/U] but now I can't. Anyone shed some light on this?

type the words on the post first

highlight those words to appear in link

click the link button

the dialogue box appears for you to paste or type the link address in

hit ok
