Just ordered some stainless akra headers from calsport. Was thinking of getting the heatshield on the headers powdercoated black. A bit worried though that when they are put in the oven to 'cure' it might deform them slightly or they might come out the oven slightly mis-shaped, which means they wouldn't be able to be fitted to the bike

Anyone know if that would happen?? :nenau

Whats the temperature of powder coating oven and what temperature does steel start to deform at? Google is your friend :-)

Nothing will happen ! How do I no because I powder coated my akro heat-shield black (I've done several heat shields on various bike I've had and the latest is the shield on my TC akro) and everything was fine, the only time I've had a very very slight deform is on some thin alloy, i thinks it was left in the oven a bit too long !!
