Dynojet make a power comander for GS1150 as yet only for the USA.
The kit comes with a replacement fuel air sensor and bypasses the closed loop making it possible to fine tune the bike right through the rev range.

Visit www. powercomander.com and enter search under BMW.

I was told by a guy on Dynojet stand at NEC show that it would be available
spring 2006 .

Has anyone got any more info ?

Thanks

Phil

no news

but you can have my adjustable techclusion box, fits in minutes, just plug and go. for a lot less money. nick 01869 346186. bicester oxon.

Did the man from dynojet say how much your looking at about £450  seems an awful lot of money.

Ive been quoted £394.33 inc vat by my local authorized dealer.
Plus you need to set bike up with Y piece + can + air filter! Then dyno and remap
to whatever setup you choose to run.

To quote the guy , "the power comander is the only product on the market
which allows you to remap 100% unlike other products on the market which trick the existing set up to run richer"

PS: I am a site sponsor paid four days ago when will it show on my profile ?

Hi Phil,

Not sure where abouts in the NW you are, but Dynojet's HQ is in Garstang, near Preston.

My 1150's in at the mo' having a p/commander fitted & I'm hoping for good things. Had some problems with the aftermarket chip I had fitted, but should get resolved this week...... :bounce1

Thanks guys; seems I have a lot to think about; I must say that I'm more than a little pissed off with Remus that they market the can and Y piece as 'easy fit no tuning required' !

More like 'easy fit no tuning possible due to BMW closed loop', unless you want to spend £300 on a Techclusion or £500 on a Power Commander.

To be fair to Remus, the bike does run with the Y piece and can but it doesn't run anywhere close to its full potential because this isn't possible with the stock BMW fuelling system.

To my mind, if you are fitting such a free flowing set up the bike needs a lot more fuel and air. Remus say 'leave the stock air filter on' which actually limits airflow and the fuel supply is not achievable within the parameters of the BMW stock fuelling system.

This is a classic Catch 22 situation where you can't achieve both, hence not be able to reach full potential.

Lessons to be learned when choosing the new bike next year; do I go for the new KTM990 as they actually supply after market cans as a factory fitted extra !!!

Cheers

Phil

Is the Power Commander

available for post 2003 1150's....I have an Oct 04 1150gsa, Remus y+pipe and it has been a big improvement in respose and smoothness, I have never had any flatspots, unlike on my 12, but I am thinking about a PC, however the website shows the GS as 99-2003.

Anyone know before I ask..

I fancy a KTM990, but everyone I speak to has had problems so I think i'll stick with what I know and try and get the best out of it...home servicing once the warranty is out so the BM is a little eaiser in that regard fot the basics... :D

Get in touch with Dynojet UK on 01995 600680. Martin Winstanley should be able to give you the answer.....
