Just fitted a full Remus to my GS1200 (06) purchased from a respecred member of this community down in Wales, Fits a treat and sounds great. Has anyone gone the next jump and mated up a Power Commander and if so how much benefit is there

It depends upon whether you are getting detonation now, due to the engine running leaner? It also depends if you think you will benefit from spending another £300+

A power commander will probably make the engine pull better, but on top of the cost of the PC - you should factor in a spell on the dyno (at a dynojet specialist by preference) who will ensure that all is well.

Have a look on the Dynojet site and see if there are any custom maps already written for a GS1200/Full Remus set up. That will be fairly close.

Cheers Al. Not really bothered about total power but rather just to improve fuelling. Does not appear to be detonating- pullin like a train in fact. Just concerned that she maybe runnin a bit lean. Will get onto a RR over the Xmas break if I can

Hi,
we are a Dynojet tuning centre & have fitted & mapped a few Power Commanders on 1200's, good job, but you really do need custom mapped to get the best out of it.
We have recently started distributing Power FRK modules, they are a plug & play device that calculates air flow through the airbox & alters fuel & ignition timing to suit.
The company that manufactures Power FRK has in the last week got the copyright protection it needs, so in the next couple of days, we can finally explain how it works, for all the folk who insist it is just a resistor!
The modules are £219 & in stock now.

Give me a call if you would like further info.

I suspect you haven't got a Dynojet Centre in Annan.....:nenau

When and if I finally get round to fitting the Remus headers and Power Commander to my '09 bike, I'll be beating a path to YPE in Bonnyrigg.

Spot on mate. Do you have any recomendations for a Rollin RD Would consider a trip over on the boat from my part as not a million miles away

Not that i want one but the "Power FREAK Package" sounds interesting....

All you need for ultimate power

This Power FRK Package includes the Power FRK Module and Lennie's Boxer Performance Rocket Sprockets. This is a very powerful performance upgrade.

The Power FRK Module

This Power FRK Module is engineered to produce more wide range power, excellent throttle response and smoothnesswith stock exhaust/ stock airfilter or slip-ons with or without a performance air filter like the BMC or Pipercross. This performance is achieved with the Power FRK Module's circuitry.
Lennie's Boxer Performance Rocket Sprockets

Power Freaks will truly appreciate this well engineered product when they install Lennie's Sprockets for the BMW R Series Airhead Motorcycles 1995 to present.

These high-end CNC machined sprockets will advance the cam timing 9 degrees.

On the BMW 180 Opposed Twin it will move the power band 1187 RPMs lower, resulting in significant increased torque between idle and 6200 RPM.

Good link on how to fit a FRK module..... http://www.powerfrk.com/en/installazione_r_1200_gs.htm
