looks impressive... could you tell us some more about it :)

what models does it cover and what sort of gain:augie

Hi,

It is a module I developped to give the R-boxer a smoother acceleration. The motor picks up much nicer at lower rev's, motor is more fun to ride. For more info you can surf my website.

Normally the motoronic module reads temperature and is one of the main parameters to determine how much fuel needs to be injected. This only during acceleration of the bike. Once at constant speed, the lambda sensor takes over. Now by cheating the temperature by 20 degrees C, there will be more fuel injected only during acceleration, with the lot of benefits as a results.

I have sold many modules already covering the R1150 and R1200 range. No bad customers yet.

It is an alternative for the quite very expensive module POWER FRK (which sells around 300 euro), but does the same job.

If a customer doesn't like it, he can send the module back and recieves his money back. I believe in the product!

Yes, there a several threats on the BMW forum of Belgium (Flanders). But they are of course not written in English. I have put some of them on my website (http://www.sol2.be/Accelerator/Nederlands/Kenmerk/index.html)

Basically, they confirm the experiences written on my website.

The general feedback I receive is that the fuel consumption stays teh same or even drops (more on the 1200-modells). Because the motor runs more smoothly, the shift the gear faster, running the bike at lower rev's, but with the same response as would on higher rev's

Very interesting...

I am concerned that there may be long term issues with the engine if I run with one of these bits of kit fitted. How long have these been around and are you aware of any issues?

Certainly seems to be a useful add-on. If it smooths out the low end acceleration especially below 30MPH in town then I'm interested. But I need some reasurrance on the long-term stuff.

Anyone got any comments or experienced a device similar?

You might need to start accepting cash in an envelope or Paypal if you want UK customers.

Some UK banks charge almost as much as your accelerator for IBAN transfers.

You're right. Last time I did an electronic 'Swift' transfer it cost me £20 in bank charges...

Answer on the long term issues: => In theory the more fuel is injected (within reason), the cooler the motor (especially the valves) will be. Because slightly more fuel is injected during acceleration, this means that the situation for the motor will be beter than without it. The problem is that today they have to set the fuel mixture leaner because of the environmental rules. In the old days, each motor was set to rich for better performance. This kind of technique is also used today in the car world.

"If it smooths out the low end acceleration especially below 30MPH in town then I'm interested": => Yes it does. That is the feedback users give (and I personally experience).

"Do you have different versions for "with cat" and "without cat"": => the type of bike is more important then with or without CAT.

"You might need to start accepting cash in an envelope or Paypal if you want UK customers." => I had a PayPal link in the past, but then I saw that Paypal charged quite a lot. I developped this module as a hobby and need to be carefull with the cost. Not much profit. If e.g. a 2 euro surplus if payed by Paypal would be accepeted by UK customers, then I have no problem to add it again.

Thanks for the responses. I for one would be happy to pay a small surplus for the convenience of using Paypal.

PM me with your paypal details and I will take one off your hands.

Regards

I have adapted my website, so there is now a direct PayPal link.

If you like to order, please fill in the fields using the contact link, so I have all the information on your bike and shipment adres

Thanks

It is a small network of different resistors, with a cut-off point below zero degrees

Would I be right in thinking it can't be used on UK 1100GS's as ours don't have lambada sensors? I know some do have the sensor in the UK, but they seem to have been imported into the UK from the European markets.

Mmmm, like two connecting sockets and some wire, not convinced this is kosher but hopefully will be proved wrong.

Is this basically a resistor that changes the voltage going to the ECU so that it thinks the incoming air is cooler than it is and increases the fuel that way? :augie

Like I said.
