Do you make a similar one for the F650 GS? These models are notorious for surging & stalling issues, if you could sort that out you could possibly have quite a few new customers.

Hi,

The sensor used on the F650GS is the same on the R1200GS. However the motormanagement module is different.

I don't have any practical experience with the F-series. But if you say that these bikes have surging,... problems, you can always try.

It will do the same job. Only I don't know what the result during driving will be.

What you perhaps can do is order one, be a testdriver :) it and share your feedback with your fellow F-riders :clap. I can support you as much as I can if questions arises.

If it doesn't do the job, send it back and I will refund.

Mavn - there was a question from John Armstrong about whether your kit can be used on the 1100GS - haven't seen a reply to this yet.

There a quite a few of us 1100 owners on here who could be interested.

Mike

Mike,

I answered on 11/21 where I wrote that R1100GS without lambda sonde would work. The ones with lambda sonde works anyhow.

Mine arrived yesterday (thanks Marc)...need a window in the climate to try it oot now...

ive just orderd one too, ill post my findings when its fitted and done a few hundred miles

:beerjug:

OK, right, I did a decent 160 mile road test yesterday, on town, country and motorway roads.
Verdict?

I am extremely impressed with this 29 euros module.

Performance:
With the module fitted, there is now a distinct increase in power and throttle response through the rev range, and I love it.
My GSA lifts its front wheel with ease in first gear off the throttle. ok they all do that sir.
Yesterday, with the module fitted, the front wheel went skyward as I was accelerating hard down a MW slip road…in second gear:eek:. This alone impressed the hell out of me.

Fuel economy:
This result shocked me even more.
Average fuel consumption pre-module = 45.1 MPG (on computer)
Average fuel consumption with module = 46.1….wow.

Don’t ask me about how this simple bit of wire works. It could be black magic for all I care…but it has transformed the performance of my GSA.

So, to say I’m over the moon impressed with this module, Is an understatement.:bow

Good effort, Yonkyo,

I've been working my way through:

1st two from NLs version of this site, 3rd from a Belgian one.

The Dutch Recyclizer is a "joint effort", between that site and one of their
enterprising members.
Most everyone is happy with what they got. There did seem to be issues with early versions, now long remedied.

MAVN's 'piece of wire', is similar, tho' he has suggested that his might perform better in sub zero temps. There is room enough to place resistors within connector shell. That must be where Marc's live.

Any comparos between these two products and something costing 10X more, is not valid IMHO. I'll be e-mailing Marc to clarify a couple of component (packaging) Qs, but I think I'll give one a go, too.

Most folk report similar-ish fuel consumption, but better ride-ability.

Greetz,

DB.

I emailed them the same question.

The answer was

"I suppose you will reuse the lambda sensor in your replacement CAT tubes?

If so, you can use the same module. No problem."

I understand from the reply that it doesn't matter.

I agree .Thanks for that .

Hi there Mavn just put in an oder for the Accelerator Ill be looking up the road for Henry the postman.

accellerator thingy

hi mav, just took the plunge for one,if its as good as the one carling make i will be impressed, will post findings later for all you sceptics, sutty.:)

Any more updates on the use of this thingy?

I have bought one and will fit it soon. As I ride in Saudi Arabia, saving on fuel consumption is the least of my troubles but, extra performance with standard exhaust or the small open ended stubby will make me smile a bit.

How/where does this thing fit. Thinking of fitting to R1200RT?

What does steptoe think?
