Here's what the web site say's

About the Power FRK ModulePlug ‘n Play Faster & Smoother!
True Motorcycle Enthusiasts have always demanded increased performance and smoothness from their engines. They want an optimally performing motorcycle at all throttle positions with excellent torque delivery throughout the entire RPM range. From idle to red-line, the Power FRK Module is a perfect Plug ‘n Play tuning device for your stock or modified motorcycle – It never has to be adjusted or remapped if performance enhancing modifications are added to your Motorcycle or if you go back to stock configuration!
We Guarantee an Optimal Tuning Solution!
Years of development and testing have resulted in a high-tech electronic module engineered to optimize the on-board Fuel and Ignition mapping at all RPMs and Throttle Positions automatically.

The Power FRK Module can not be detected by the manufacture’s diagnostic equipment and can easily be removed and the ECU will revert to normal operation.. There are no fault codes generated upon installation or removal of the Power FRK Module.

Plug ‘N Play – Power it UP!
The Power FRK Module is for motorcycle enthusiasts who want a robust running motorcycle at all RPMs. From a strong idle to redline NO Flat Spots – NO choppy throttle and NO lean burn backfiring. Gone are the days of installing outdated piggyback ECU signal optimizers – products that have to be dyno-tuned for hours and not have the superlative results that the Power FRK offers!

Piggy Back units can’t compare with the Power FRK’s direct dynamic signal into the ECU and the subject motorcycle will perform significantly better than with any other piggyback tuning device – even after hours of dyno-tuning! Piggyback units have a signal delay of 8 to 23 microseconds and require an experienced “Tuner”! That is expensive and the accuracy of the signal turnaround is always delayed. Using canned maps from the piggyback manufacturer are known as “starter maps” and they still require experienced fine tuning. After Tuning they follow the static map overriding the excellent on-board OEM mapping.

The Power FRK Module Does Not Need ANY Expensive Dyno-Tuning!

We offer a Powerful quick to install solution at a great price point!

The Power FRK Modules are for:

•Completely Stock motorcycles with stock catalytic converter/headers and performance Slip-On and with stock or performance air-filter
•Fully modified motorcycles with Full exhaust systems (without catalytic converter) and with stock or performance air-filter
Smooth Power Delivery
The Power FRK will detect RPM and Load as you open the throttle. It will work perfectly with a stock or a modified motorcycle. As performance modifications are added at a later time the Power FRK Module will provide the correct optimal on-board fueling and ignition mapping as detected by the additional demand of air. This will give you increased smooth linear performance and smooth throttle response with NO flat-spots or choppy throttle at any RPM.

Open the throttle with a Power FRK equipped motorcycle and you will feel the smooth linear power! The Power FRK always calls up the on-board mapping at an optimal level for best performance.

The Power FRK Module works as follows:

•It detects and interprets the engine RPMs by the alternator’s sine wave pulsing in the power supply to the IAT sensor
•It interprets the rush of air as you open the throttle using the IAT sensor’s variant signal. This is how we determine load.
•Using the above two variants the Power FRK Module will modify the IAT signal to call up on-board mapping in the optimal performance range based on the demand of the rush of air into the air box and the corresponding RPM.
•THE POWER FRK detects the engine revolutions and the Power FRK comes into operation only when the engine revolutions increase. The Power FRK Module senses the RPM and Pressure changes in the air-box and automatically modifies the signal of the IAT sensor on acceleration only for maximum power.
•As engine revolutions decrease and you are running at constant speed (Steady State) the Power FRK Module stops its IAT signal modulation. Your ECU will return to normal programming and will also allow the ECU to go into “Closed Loop Operation” mode when riding Steady State Mode.
Powerful Performance with better MPG/KPL as the combustion efficiency is enhanced by excellent flame front propagation from optimal Injection and Ignition mapping.

I've ordered this one for mine
Power FRK Module 2 for the BMW HP2 - (1027BR12002)
Application: Modified BMW R1200 Series Motorcycles with full performance exhaust systems (NO catalytic converter) with stock or free flowing performance air filters. The Power FRK #2 is for racing only! Smooth and powerful with no flat spots!
Simple yes :blast well lets find out :D when it arrives and turns out to be a pup it goes back to the USA :pullface
quote •We guarantee a positive experience 100% of the time or you can return it for a full refund!

'FRK yer right, stick it on the dyno lets see what it does, you can send the FRK'in thing back cause it's bound to be shit':jes

SO DOES THE FRK WALK THE WALK AND TALK THE TALK :beerjug:

What do you all think?:hide

We have been appointed distributor for Power FRK & will be running back to back tests with other modules on our dyno.
Will post results as soon as possible.

Hi Brian
Whats the feed back from your customers and which BMW's are they riding stock or tuned?
How do you feel it compares to Power Commander, Wunderlich?

Hi Cain,
we were appointed distributor at Milan show earlier in the month, I have had a few, but waiting for larger delivery.
Anyone that has tried so far has been very impressed.
We have a few 1200 modules sold, so as soon as they arrive, they will be dispatched.
I am going to fit one to my own 1150GSA & run it to see how it goes.
I understand there will be improvement all across the rev range, with particular improvement at part throttle openings.
As soon as I get time I will be doing part & full throttle runs on the dyno so we can all see the difference.
As I said I am going to run some other modules as a back to back test.

I have fitted & mapped power commanders on GS's, they are without doubt the best answer, but are more expensive & really do need custom mapping to get he best from them.
Wunderlich is a bit less sophisticated than a power commander, but still needs setting up propperly.

SO DOES IT

My box arrived from FRK ;)
Nice box, open it up to find the POWER FRK MODULE instructions and an installation DVD pictorial.
THIS IS PANTS no reference to a HP2E.
I would have expected more attention to detail :augie NO HP INSTRUCTIONS ON THIER WEB PAGE EITHER:mad:

BUT this is a simple installation so here goes:D

DO NOT INSTALL POWER FRK MODULE WITH THE BIKE KEYS IN THE IGNITION

Here's my babe on the Dyno with the grey body panels already striped off, we need access on both sides of the bike to remove the air induction tube and air filters between runs OH YES FIT THE POWER FRK:blast

DSCF6212 SM.jpg
This is the Induction Air Temp sensor plug (IAT), On the HP2E you will find it on the LHS (as you site on the bike) on top off and at the front of the air box :thumb (ref) MAX BMW PARTS fiche 13_1118 - SUCTION SILENCER/FILTER CARTRIDGE

Undo the retaining bolt that holds down the tank and blue cover panel

DSCF6215 SM.jpg
Prop the tank up to allow access (very handy baffles)

DSCF6216 SM.jpg
Stick a pinkie in and push the retaining clip, then pull the plug off

DSCF6217 SM.jpg
Here's the plug to the IAT

DSCF6219 SM.jpg
Slip the POWER FRK plug up behind the frame (cut the main loom zip ties to make for easy access)

DSCF6222 SM.jpg
plug into the IAT plug ontop of the Airbox
and then into the wiring main loom IAT the plugs are male/female so you can't get it wrong:rob and slide the POWER FRK up into place

DSCF6223 SM.jpg
Zip tie the main loom back into place it's also holding the FRK in place :thumb2

POWER FRK FITTED about 30mins:beerjug:

BLUE RUN 001 4th GEAR 85.6 BHP
This was with the Akarpovic full titaniam system, stock BMW airfilter
(My HPE has 5000 miles on the clock and 15 miles ago a bmw dealer service)

RED RUN 005 4th GEAR 95.2 BHP
This was with the Akarpovic full titaniam system, stock BMW airfilter and POWER FRK

GREEN RUN 008 4th GEAR 97.4 BHP
This was with the Akarpovic full titaniam system, Foam filter from TT without the induction sock installed and POWER FRK

In conclusion, we are now running the HP2E on the DYNO Red run 005because it’s a smoother power curve with better fuel delivery compared to stock.
PLUS we ran out of dyno time :eek

To be honest, plug ‘n’ play is a yes ish:blast It’s a lot better than the stock fuelling :thumb but not as good as FRK said, on my bike at least.

BUT the bike is still way to lean  and we wonder if it is the right path for me :nenau the plus is that it’s not detectable when it’s been removed, a big plus if you still have BMW warranty and remember to remove it :clap

We have a few more tricks up our sleeves :pullface over the next week or so when the Dyno’s free so with more Dyno time it could work or not I will keep you posted.

What did it ride like THE WIND, FURKIN A1 pulled like a train very happy as it feels so much better than stock :beerjug: Can't wait to do the job properly :bounce1

power frk

After you completed the installation was the frk worth it. I have a little pop on my hp2 decelerating with an hpn akra and foam air filter. I would like to get rid of that and better performance would be nice too. Thanks Richard

I ran my 1150 GSA on our dyno today, haven't managed to figure out how to post the graphs yet.
How did you get on with yours?

Brian

Took a pic and posted it:blast as I don't have a working scanner at the mo to scan the print out.
Should have saved the runs onto a USB stick to get a better view:rolleyes:

If you are only worried about the Popping on decelerating get the FRK but you will still pop a small amount which sounds cool in my book.

Bottom line is the bike has more BHP (and runs better than it ever has on the road before city traffic and the open road:D)and fueling is a lot better than the stock lean fueling which was also magnified by the Akra and Foam filter.
But to be perfect you need to do more.

I was happy with the HP2 on the Akra and Foam filters as BMW had the exhaust as a part number and they also sold the TT airfilter warranty safe:D, but always new it ran to lean (exhaust colour).
Like I said it's not perfect, but far far better than stock:cool: and not BMW detectable
Only you can answer how far you are willing to go and the route

Hi guys I know this is an old post but what was the outcome of this test
please?
is there any other threads about this item.:)

At the moment we are still working on my HP2 with other mods:D

If you check out 1200 section there is more on the FRK and another cheaper plug in resistor...

So what performance mods have you so far?
