power lead for mobile phone

I have an 05 GS and would like to run a power lead to a waterproof case in which ill hold my mobile phone. the battery on the phone is pants so i need a form of power that is compatible with a mini USB plug that the charger usually goes into

Any ideas?

Can i link off the power suply under the beak (which i still havent found btw). im assuming this is 12v and the usb is usually 5 ish? Again any suggestions welcome

The power connector on my 2005 bike is taped tight to the headstock and can be seen looking down from the top. It has a black square plastic blank in it.

If you can not find it I will try and post a photo.

Pardon my ignorance, how do you get connected to power? Do you have to solder the wiring to somewhere?

I like this solution, I been looking for something like this for a while...

I have a canbus plug wired to a regular cigarette lighter socket, which leads to a regular car USB charger and my iPhone. This little lot lives in an old Walkman case that loops around whatever the bungees are holding down onto the back seat. OK, not waterproof, but then I only need it for an hour a day. The plus points are that its simple and can power other 12V stuff too.

im assuming this is 12v and the usb is usually 5 ish ? that's dangerous and as you do *not* mention make model of phone then cannot be exacting. If Nokia then you're b*ll*x by this assumption as the trigger voltage is greater than 5V.
