Powercommander Question

Hello all,

Looking at powercommanders as the next upgrade for my adv.. it's an 08, but I want the v5 PC - it only shows as compatible with the 09 and 10 models.. is there actually any difference between the 08 and the 09 - I'd rather buy the newer model as it's smaller, easier to hide and of course the latest version of a gadget..

It's not simply about the power, I know it's running a little lean at the minute and the best way of correcting it is with a PC..

Have got rid of your cat?? thatll lean it up ,but cant your stealer put it on their computer an fix your fuelling ???.

Yeah, CAT is gone - dealers don't usually have a proper dyno rig - that said even if they did, they'd still try and keep it under the emissions standards

Actually looking forward to seeing if I can tell any difference at all.. I'm sure it'll feel faster because I'm comforted about the fueling

pcv will fit ok on your 08 i have one fiited to mine and as a note the maps available on pc website pcIII for 08 bikes are compatible all you have to do is fill in the 15% throttle column in the pcv map.you can either cut & paste the maps or enter manually or you could add the auto tune modules and then no map/dyno required but you would need two units as the bikes has a seperate map for each cyclinder but at the moment dyno jet are still configuring the firmware on the pcv to accomodate two autotune units.
