I wired my GPS power from the underseat auxilary socket but the bike keeps turning the power off, maybe the "brain" thinks the battery is a bit low or the current drain from the GPS is too high. As a temporary measure I've wired direct to the battery with an in-line fuse.
I would like to be able to remove the mount easily which I can do but I also need an easy disconnect from the power source so was considering putting an auxilary power socket at the from and plugging into that. I know I can get a second auxilary socket kit from BMW but would the brain still think it's drawing too much current? Any ideas appreciated.
