Price to Pay?

I'm looking for a 1150GS, but don't want to pay too much, I'm looking at dealer bikes as I have a R1100S to trade in, but they seem to vary by about £1000 for the same year bike. What should I pay for a 2000/2001 model, not that bothered about ABS.

I reckon a good 2000/2001 GS1150 will cost you around £5K - £5.5K, with dealershops maybe asking up to £5.9K.

You need to get a good service history, never mind "goodies". Ideally, a well looked after model will make mileage (almost) irrelevant.

Webbs, the Yamaha dealer at Eye near Peterborough, have a silver Y-reg 1150GS in for £5999. 23k miles, luggage, oil guard, Givi screen & BMW foglights. No ABS and no heated grips though.

Sorry it has to have heated grips. Had mine on this morning why would anyone order a BMW without the heated grips? The make a cold journey, a less unpleasant experience, still freeze my face off though.
