Got my grips today, Fantastic.
Don't cut them, use WD40 instead of soapy water much easier to put on.

I hate to say this in a thread about small puppies (oh er missus) however, trying using a water based gel (such as KY), it easy to get the things on and then just washes away afterwards, dont leave a residue and your not stuck with oil everywhere on the handlebars.

Fitted my grips (fast service from Woodys) before I embarked on a three day trip in Scotland.
Unfortunately, I cut them off on the third day as they were giving me pains in my hands by making the grips too fat/big. This is most likely down to my stumpy hands/fingers, but I just didn't get on with the extra thickness (oh err, missus). They do cancel out a bit of the vibrations you tend to get through the bars, but sadly they were just not for me.

Funny you say that about pains, I fitted mine last week and started getting pain in my right hand mainly my middle finger after 500 miles. I will bear with them and see if I get used to them else I'll be cutting them off to.

What you been doing with that middle finger?maybe should cut the finger off!
