problem locking the seat on the high setting. it locks in place fine on the low setting any tips

whats that got to do with the locking system you bellend

Nothing actually, it's a seance of humor thing really. Obviously wasted or misdirected. Please except my apology. I guess you have tried a little WD40. It may not need lubrication but the WD40 may clean any dirt out of the mechanism. Sorry I can't be of any real help. Goodnight and sweet dreams. :thumb2

I'm taking advantage of your seat knowledge ... I'm finding if it's on high at the front and back the thing slopes down towards the front of the bike !

I'm (reluctantly) using mine on the high setting at the front and lower setting at the back.

Am I mad or do other find similar things ?

mines a Sargent seat. and been fats got nothing to do with the seat height. its my knee angle im having issues with

I think I know what you mean Moonhead. I find that my Corbin is easier to get into the low setting than the higher one. I can locate the front quite easily but the difficulty seems to be in getting the rear of the seat lined up correctly with the locating dogs. It is a bit of a faff and I still haven't really got the hang of it. It does lock in place though, it just takes me a few minutes to get it right.

Yep, given it's size, the R1200GS can be a bit "cramped" for normal sized blokes...The "high" seat setting is nothing of teh sort.

I'm regretting not purchasing the GSA which gives you a bit more space.

PS Thanks Aiden , I'll get one ...

I did that too with the standard seat until I got a Corbin. Best way to avoid nut crush. :thumb2

Ah, I'm heading down to the bike now to put my rear in the lower position. I'll be delighted if it reduces nut crush.
