Anyone recommend a relatively cheap and simple to use programme that might do the following?

I'm a member of a fairly small membership association that is about 50/50 internet user and non-IT types.

We need to be able to maintain a membership database, contact details etc. and ideally would like to be able to generate addressed correspondence, well at least to address envelopes for the non-internet types.

Bearing in mind that I'm the most IT competent member  it would be best if it was simple!

Thanks!

You could probably manage this quite well via Outlook or Outlook Express. In combination with something like Word, you can manage label/envelope prints and letters etc.

MS Works would do that and it's cheap or free :)

Cookie,

I've got works but have never really made the most of it. I use it to mail and address envelopes etc. but will it address say 150 envelopes from a list?

(Maybe I'd better paly with it some more. :o )

we have our address book on it with 200 odd names and addresses. every christmas mrs cookie does a mail merge to print christmas card labels for envelopes. you could print direct to the envelopes but she likes to put little snowmen etc. on them & it's easier.

you just tick the lucky recipients on the data base, tell Works what to do (the tricky bit, a row every year  ) & bung the labels in the printer.

we use Works 'cos it's easier, & we've found it's more suited to this job than Office.

Ta. Sounds just what I was looking for and sods law I already have it!
