This one looks OK IMO but you'll notice the rear subframe doesn't kick up

If you have a look closely under the seat you will see it does kick up, it has to to allow the fender to follow the same shape as the rear tyre iykwim

Where it joins the frame? Although you could just add a spacer under the mudguard fixing. It's probably about 50mm (difference between the 2 bikes) so it might look a bit odd. Personally I would cut down the bottom fixings on the subframe.

Here is a close up picture ImageUploadedByTapatalk1356179154.136974.jpg

I could get another inch lower on the shock adjustment and maybe another inch on the bottom mount of the sub frame but before I mess with the bottom mount I will wait for the seat to arrive

Now I've resolved the issue of the rear fender to everyone's satisfaction (I hope) it's time to crack on with the battery holder

Fender looks ok, but there is just something odd about that back light. Maybe will look better once the number plate is in place

Change of plan on the exhaust front I am going for high level exhausts so I now need 2 inch and a half 180 degree bends

I think your bum looks a little saggy in those overalls ...

But on a positive ,, She is coming along nicely.. For a man with only a hacksaw !
Whats the story on the Underslung battery box , Are you selling ,,
or could you draw it with measurements ?..

Thanks for looking at my arse, I will ignore the hacksaw comment…..yes battery box, headers and silencers are all going....... the alloy box was made it to take a 20 amp gel battery

I've seen that cheers I prefers it standing up, you can get a kit to do from the USA for 400 dollars plus the usual

I am happy with my one , the whole emphasis about my project is not to buy a load of new bits and try a do it my self. I really don't want a gleaming polished powered coated ornament.

I've been there and done that many times

It's always nicer to have a bash yourself . I think anybody can pull out a cheque book and bolt together someone else's ideas . You'll learn a whole lot more too , and have a whole lot more fun trying ........Honest ! :-)

Well not much has happened this week, I’ve just finished off the battery holder which I will located above the gear box hopefully I will have it mounted this weekend, I am also working on a small alloy box for under the gear box as an option for later. The 2 x 180 bends have arrived for the up and over exhaust but the straight pipe never turned up so I am guessing it will be the New Year now.

Nope new year now , new rear light ordered as well, just messing about with the pipes
