Forgive me if you've seen it before, but I hadn't and thought it I would share :aidan

The Plan is:

To put all the pensioners in jail and all the criminals in a nursing home.

This way the pensioners would all have access to showers, hobbies, daily exercise and walks. They'd receive unlimited free prescriptions, dental and medical treatment, wheel chairs, etc., and they'd receive money, instead of paying it out.

They would have constant video monitoring, so they could be helped instantly if they were taken ill, fell or needed assistance of any kind. Bedding would be washed and changed, twice a week and all clothing would be ironed and returned to them daily.

A guard would check on them every 20 minutes and bring their meals and snacks to their room. They would have family visits in a suite built for that purpose. They would have access to a library, weight room, gym, spiritual counselling, swimming pool and continued education, all for free.

Simple clothing, shoes, slippers, PJ's and legal aid would be free, on request. Private, secure rooms for all, with an outdoor exercise area and maintained gardens.

Each senior citizen could have a free PC, a colour TV, a radio, and free daily phone calls. There would be a board of directors to hear their complaints and the guards would have a code of conduct that would be strictly adhered to.

The criminals however, who are now in the nursing home, would get cold food, be left all alone and unsupervised, woken at 6am, lights off at 8 pm, showers once a week. They would live in a tiny room, have to pay £1500 per month, be abused or ignored by staff, have to pay for phone calls, share a TV in a communal lounge and watch whatever channel everyone else was watching, rarely see visitors and have little hope of ever getting out.

Justice for all.

Thats a shocking tale Mandy, it says a lot about our culture.

I knew a guy who worked in a meat wholesalers in Cork. They had two main contracts, Spike island prison, car + bike thieves and assorted scumbags and the Mercy hospital, mainly old people, all sick and unwell. Guess who had the bigger budget for a similiar number of people.:blast

We need to start prioritising folks. The roads are banjaxed. Now is the time for chain gangs in Ireland, get the bastards off their arses and get them out working for the good of the country.

so very relevant for me Mandy who at the moment is trawling around all the Dementia homes looking for a place for my dad. All 1.6K plus per month, waiting lists of 2yrs plus and the health Trust guaranteeing they will use his house to pay for it if we cant.

what an upside down world :(

Sorry to hear that Trev, an awful time for you all. I think it's an absolute disgrace to to use the money from the sale of his to pay for his care when he probably worked all his life and paid his contributions

Sorry to hear that Trev. Not nice for you all... :(

thanks for the thoughts everyone :thumb2

Yes he did work all his life but never really planned in the way he should and now stands to lose the whole heap - worked his whole life and paid all his dues. What for I ask myself :(
