Pump does not prime

Have you.....

My pump runs fine from 12v, but does not get power from the "loom" the fuses have power, the ABS relay runs lights work starter works, but yes, ECU seems dead.:blast

checked the fuel pump and motronics relays...you can test the relays by swapping them with the horn relay. Those 3 relays are the same. I am assuming the your 1999 1150GS electrics will be the same as the my 2003 1150GS electrics.

Yes same, I am trying to borrow an ECU to do a check, I am mechanical bad on sparks

To close my episode, the problem was that the "new" pump was seized. To test the two pumps I used diesel rather than risk petrol being sprayed around.
Once the tank is topped up with petrol, a little diesel is not going to matter (I hope)

I believe pump is good, gonna dig in the connector, I have just been too busy and the garage is down to around 4 or 5 C by the time I get hoime so maybe another weekend job:blast

No fuel pump or fuel level display will happen when kill switch is set to off....

In the end yoiu gave me the hint and someone else somewhere mentioned the RID, there is a broken wire in the loom between the kill switch and the fuel pump, I stripped off the cable ties and wiggled it then I got the pump priming, hoping to sort it. :beerjug:

John..... Can you tell me how you freed up the seized pump..... I have the same symptoms.... Arcing when I put 12v direct across the terminals... No rotation... Pump is only 13000 miles old and 8 years though!!

Thanks for your help
