Hi folks. I am new to BMW, having just bought a lovely new shiny GSA.
It is a lovely bike......

Went to pump up the front tyre this afternoon and had great difficulty getting at the valve with the pump!!

Is it just me (I am no technical genius)! Or is there an easy way that I have missed completely?!?!

It's a known issue. Buy a 90 degree adaptor from eBay.
Get the brass coloured ones as they should fit valves with tyre pressure sensors.

.... and they are made of cheese so don't force the air line on if it almost, but doesn't quite fit - you'll just snap the top off and leave the valve core exposed ... :thumb2

Get yourself a proper foot pump with a proper gauge and a proper 90 degree fitting.

Thanks folks. I guess I'm surprised at this poor design on a 16k bike!

The LC has right angled valves don't see the problem??????

The GSA doesn't as it has spoked wheels. I bought the ring mains compressor with right angle fitting and it works OK - forget about a reading though as the gauge is useless.

Get yourself one of these, made by Oxford and available from any half decent motorcyclist shop, like Infinity.
