Test:
I am about to swap tyres on my bike so thought it a good time to test the puncture kit supplied with the bike. I thought better to find out any flaws in my garage than at side of the road at night.

Results:
It worked and held 50psi over night but would need all three cylinders to inflate so carry a pump or extras on a long journey.
Also used half the adhesive on one fix so getting more tubes.

Took about ten mins including following the instructions that were simple and clear. The next fix would be quicker.

Also:
dismantled mini compressor pump as seen on thread somewhere and ended up with electric pump as small as bicycle pump.

Here's food for thought if changing tyres Alan - purchase some Ultra Seal (or similar) cost £20 at BMF - probably £25 now though.
This will save you having to worry about punctures!

That all depends on whether it works or not!!!!!
Try a search on he word ULTRASEAL on this site and read with interest!!
;)

Thanks Sherpa - read all that with great interest (all parts!)
Well, it's in the tyres so lets see - seen it work with a deer bone half inch wide - puncture kit had to be deployed but we got to a dealer where some more was whacked in and we got home.
Time will tell.

Jim, you must be psychic

I went along to have tyres fitted and guy said two hour wait. So off I went to nearby Bikers World and guy outside doing demo and selling u/seal for £20 a bottle, so I got some.

Listening to both arguments seems the only people against have some vested interest ie. tyre manufacturers or retail fitters.
The single thought of a high speed front puncture decided it for me.

The mini pump will still come in handy for the old g/s who still insists on wearing tubes. I have a picc of pump and indeed my g/s but not clever enough to upload images.
