Puncture Repair Kit Recommendations please!

I have used the plastic screw in plugs as well and to be fair it got me home but it wasn't a permanent repair like all the stop and go fixes have been. Did get me going again though and they couldn't be easier to use.

Cheers for that good to know, fingers crossed I got 3 different systems to fix punctures and hoping not to need them, but planning is better than failure.

POS, IMHO. I got through 3 of they trying to fix a puncture for richardbd of this parish outside the Falkland Arms in Great Tew. We gave up and used something else which did work, just after Richard lost all hope and had called the RAC. Sticky strings haven't failed to work since.

This is correct. Ever since then I have always made sure that Chazzy has a good supply of the sticky strings, ready in case I should need them.

Oh - and it was the AA, not RAC...

Cheers for more responses :bow The Stop n' Go kit seems to get a lot of mentions and if I can get that in a bag under the rack - result!

Well, I'm looking at ordering this Stop & Go kit, but before I pull the trigger, does anyone know if it'll fit under the rear rack, say in something like the Wunderlich under-rack bag? Not with the bike now so unable to check. Thanks.

Sticky strings every time. I also have never managed to successfully use the rema type. Have just this weekend used a string for the fourth time in my rear tyre! Done plenty more on other tyres, even used two when necessary. I would also suggest a handful of self rappers as an emergency measure for repair kit!

Didn't put the link in for some reason, but here it is now!

Comparing the size against the Airpro kit I have, I would say 3" is too much to go under a std GS rack. The gap is only 2" and mine in a nylon dry bag is an interference fit.

Arrived yesterday from a cheaper supplier, and it is slightly too tall to fit under the rack as it is. I'm hoping it'll go in another bag and fit under there ;-)
