It's hard to argue with those images.
Of course there is a world of difference between road riding and Adventure riding and I was seeing things from the road riding point of view.
Tubes are part of your armoury and I apologise for being narrow minded on this subject
My Dad worked a a tyre fitter for London buses for most of his working life, tubed tyres, split rims, tyres retreaded using a hot iron (sometimes by me) 110 Psi running pressures - much higher to pop the bead on and no mechanical assistance, just 6ft long tyre levers.
