So I bought a hugger for the R1300GS. Despite already having a Mudsling, I figured anything that reduces the amount of cleaning required was worth a go.

As you can see from the pictures, it didn't really do much.

Now Pyramid have been pretty decent about the whole thing. They paid the return postage & refunded me about 80% which I'm happy with, but I thought I'd maybe save others the bother by posting this.

What’s the circular mark where it looks clean. I have highlighted it.
If it’s a special ceramic coating that stops dirt sticking. I want some.IMG_4263.jpeg

Presumably the mudsling did it's job?

I went with a cheap AliExpress replica on my RS - looks OK & seems to work well at keeping grime off the rear shock, but if I were to be critical, it would be nice to have a more elegant fixing to the frame tubes, rather than zip ties.

Most huggers tend to create a vortex, which makes it more messy than not having one at all.
The whole machine is a vortex from the front axle backwards.
Spray-borne grit and road crud will always find a way to stick to your machine, no matter what.
.
What makes it more noticeable this time of the year is the shite which farming vehicles bring out from the fields they are working on, which then gets distributed in a way our socialist governments would be proud of.

I've had mine on a good few months and very happy with it. Nothing will stop road shite swirling around but it stops all the gravel being fired directly towards the suspension and the front of the swing arm.
