Does anyone use a Quest in their Renault Megane (new shape) and if so does the car have the strange windscreen that the Laguna has which interferes with the satelite signal?

My brother has a Laguna and has to use an external ariel with his Quest and we're buying Dad a unit for his birthday so need to know if we need the external ariel as well for his Megane.

Thanks for any help on this
(PS I'm the only one wih any sense in this family - my car's German!!!)

Ta again

Sherpa ;)

I would imagine that the windscreen is similar. It would not hurt to run an external ariel anyway, even if the screen is uncoated.

Been here before in the forum.

Yes, its those 'French-ies' for you and the use athermic windscreens, but its coming more common in cars.

Suggest using the ANT-19-MCX external antenna , get it from GPS warehouse (www.gpsw.co.uk) .

Sherpa - snap !! mine is a 4 wheel German zimmer frame mit hairdryer (hot as always) ..

Sherpa,

We have a "new" shaped Renault Megane and a Quest and I 've used the latter in the former, no problems at all. The windscreen on our motor is tinted and that's about it, no heater elements in it.

Hope this helps.

Cheers
Steve
