My mate is buying a Quest he's worried about down loading maps, does the Quest use its own memory or flash cards like the 2610????. Cheers.

It's own, & it's simple (from mapsource) - even I can do it :thumb

Try the search button at the top of the screen........you'll find this question 347 times, followed by 'how much can it hold' 323 times, and going down through all the over asked ones like 'My old maps have all dissapeared when I loaded one new section on' at 245 times and finally 'is it waterproof' at only 125 times.

Seriously though, why don't people make the slightest attempt at looking things like that up??

Is it that theu don't know there's a search buton, are are they actually that lazy that they can't be arsed and just post the question knowing someone will answer??

You can talk Stella, 205 posts and every one of them 'bitchin'. Not one positive or helpful post amongst them. I've heard your not a 'real' blonde either ;)

Maybe there should be a sticky at the top entitled 'all the things you wanted to know about quest and were just about ti p**s everyone off by asking'.

And have a link in it to the garmin website

I have asked a few questions before I bought one but I did do a search first and read the spec on garmin.com

I've been suggesting an FAQ on GPS systems for ages. I'd do one myself if I felt I knew enough :)

Cheers
