Earlier today ordered one of these should arrive Monday

After quite a long chat with 'Geoff the site owner he's sending me the standard and the compact to see which is better suited, and I'll return the unused one.

Another way to go. Photos will be good. I'll try and get some photos of the Fumoto valve on the 650 Dakar also. Let us know how you get on.

it's not the easiest thing to photograph, but here goes:

Here's a closeup of it:

As you can see it doesn't extend down below the frame of the bike. When draining, the oil falls directly out the bottom of it, the part extruding towards the rear of the bike is the opening lever and it's safety mechanism/guard, it's also normally mostly covered by the bash plate, which is off the bike at the moment - as is one or two other bits and pieces
