Just a quickie,
Having just bought a 2005 GS,i want to remove the tank side panels for a good clean and install 2nd 12v socket.
I have undone the 2 ,1/2 turn clips on the outsideof the panel and the lower turn clip on the inside.
This leaves a fixing on inside top corner, now is this just a pull out clip? it looks like it is .I dont want pull to hard and damage it if i have missed something.
Advise please :D

Yep - just give a pull and it will come away. It's a plastic plug moulded onto the tank panel into a rubber grommet on the frame.

Hmm, I always felt better about supporting this one from the other side in the style of a Prostate examination ie pull the panel but use your other hand/index finger to push it from the other side.
And use a touch of silicone grease on reinstall to make the next time easier.
