Quietest helmet

It's about time someone made helmets with ear defenders built in on a slide, like the sun visor, and active noise cancelling,

non of this in ear shite.

+1 BMW Sport Integral

I changed my old sport Integral after 7 years of use for a Shoei GT air.....

It’s definitely nosier than the BMW, although, it's far more comfy

Apart from the helmet design and fit there are ear plugs and there are ear plugs. Custom moulded plus will eliminate much more noise than standard squidgy foam disposables. If you don't loose them they also last for years.

Before going to the expense of changing your lid I would strongly suggest you look at custom moulded plugs. I personally found them to be significantly more effective than disposable foam plugs.

I'm not going to disagree as I've got no experience of custom moulded ear plugs.

All I can say is that I use these and find they are very, very effective at cutting out noise even at silly speeds (on a private track m'lud), but still enable me to hear what's going on around me.

I get through one pair a week doing about 500 miles. I last bought a box of 200 pairs, which works out at just under £20 for 100,000 miles of biking. Should be good for a while then

Someone mentioned earlier that fitting them correctly is essential - of course they're right. I do the usual and roll them up to make them a bit slimmer, before looking like a tw@t and using one hand to lift the opposite ear upwards and straighten the old ear canal ready for insertion. Give it a good shove in there - don't be afraid

This works up to a point but I also found the length of the plugs meant they popped out a bit and didn't create an effective seal when they expanded. To solve this, I nip about 2mm off the bottom (narrow end) of each plug with a pair of scissors and jobs a good'un :thumb

Works for me. May not work for anyone else but hey ho.

Let me get this right........you have a remus fitted to make noise and now you want to silence the noise :blast

Quiet standard pipe and well set up screen and I'm happy with the noise level from my tourx4 and my K5 AGV. I also wore howard lite earplugs but have recently changed to a lesser noise killing plug so that I can hear my packtalk intercom thingy.

You could try these which are my favourite and seem to work very well and are cheaper than your current choice
