Quite like this!

Honda made a dedicated flat tracker to take on the Harley , and it wasn't bases on ny road bike.
Indian have just done the same, with a tasty narrow angle four valve 750 V twin which makes 106 hp and would make the basis of a tasty adventure bike, if they ever productionise it.
But like the Honda we will probably never see it - generally we get what the manufactures want to sell, not what we want to buy!

That stirs a few of the memory cells that are still have active - the article I read on the new Indian flat tracker had a potted history of the Harley and Honda bikes too.
So maybe a search on Indian flat Tracker will bring it up.
A 700cc version of the VT motor also went into the last of the Transalps but in Oz it was priced at 40% more than the Suzuki so it sunk without trace, six months after it's introduction dealers were selling demo bikes with 5000 km on them for the Same price as the Suzuki , and they were quietly withdrawn.
Pity , as the motor was reputed to be one of the best , bulletproof motors Honda ever made, and the made a few good ones.
