I had another key issue one needs to factor with your side stand length today - punctures - its often as 10 mm drop on the front and at least 20mm at the back
so there we go, you need enough lean to cope with 20 mm squat for loaded luggage, 20mm for a rear puncture and at least 20 mm for extreme winds and I guess another 30mm for the wobbly channel tunnel crossing and dodgy braking they have started to enjoy pointlessly doing to get bikes to wobbling for fun....
I bet BMW love these fools wasting 200 quid on a long stand - they'll soon be be selling engine covers, crash bars, gear levers, tanks, plastics, levers, bars the lot
