R100CS Barn Find Re-commission

I'd start that on Ebay at £2,000 as a project. Or put an M.O.T. on her and start at £2,250 etc ( I only just managed to sell an immaculate R100T for £2,950 )

Always sad when you hear of a fellow biker having to hang up his boots :comfort

It's got 11 months MOT and has just been serviced. It's on the button and tip top!

Yeah it is a sad end to the tale, however he's done the right thing. I'd hate to see him bury himself in the back of a car or something.

I have no idea what its worth, but it's a cracking machine from a time when BMW built quality :thumb2

Chris

I would stick that bike on E bay at a start price of £2500 "No reserve" and 1 bid she's gone and anything above is a bonus

Open the auction worldwide and you might be surprised

She's not mint but she's no old crock Either

Maybe not a "hugely" Sought after bike but definitely a very collectable one :thumb

Yeah and some clueless tw*t with a beard, lovely hair and no idea will make a ever so trendy and fashionable café racer or bobber out of it

I'd really like to avoid Ebay of at all possible, too many potential hipsters armed with drainpipe trousers, winkle picker shoes and angle grinders!!!

You're right that he might be surprised. They received very few in the USA, only four,I believe, in the last year and I have seen two make more in the USA than a 90s would .

Well guys and gals .....

Having read back through this thread and taken some advice via PM's I headed over to George's for a chat. The long and short of it is that we came to an arrangement and I bought the bike from him! :JB

I'll be honest, I can't really afford it but given that financially it was 'just' within reach I just couldn't say no!

So, it's official, I'm an Airhead owner! It's only fitting really as I've smelled of piss for years now!!!

Good for you! I wonder how I know exactly how you feel.

Indeed I wonder!!??!!

I'll be honest, it hasn't quite sunk in yet!. I've had the bike here at CT HQ for about 3 months so I've got used to having it around. But, now it's mine and it's left me feeling a little confused!! (but of course really happy!)

You wont regret it Chris, it'll always be worth whatever you paid for it and then some, no doubt.... :thumb
