I'm looking for some info....I need to know the size of the stem nut/top yoke nut on the R100GS. If someone could measure the nut across the points of the nut - this is the diameter of the nut at its widest point and let me know the size I'd be very grateful.

Hi Barak - I've just measured the nut on my 1990 R100GS and it appears to be exactly 2 cm across the points. In fact somewhat smaller than I imagined.

And the large nut underneath is 33 mm. Perhaps you originally meant that one.

I didn't realise there were two nuts...I assumed it would be something similar to the image below...

Phil, my set-up is slightly different - but the large nuts must be the same. On your photo it is the large one.

Thanks again....looking at this other image I've found it certainly appears to be the larger nut size.
