I gave Electric monk the one from mine to get him mobile and am just about to build Escargot back up and went to overhaul the calliper? His brake piston was and still is cracked

it's the larger pistons in those and I think they're NLA

Was trying to keep the momentum going

I was given a 6 pot Billet tonight but it's damaged and needs helicoiled, overhauled and pads replaced

I was thinking more the 4 pot k caliper, just need to take a couple of mm off each mounting lug.

The porsche boxster uses a 40mm Brembo piston on the front brakes. I've no idea if it's the same length piston though. Might be worth a phone call to your local supplier http://porschecalipers.co.uk/produkty/36/caliper_repair_kit_40mm.html

I recently rode a g/s with a 6 pot billet and it was a lot better than a 4 pot brembo I had on my pd.

Lighter bike though, but I was surprised.

Pretty sure that they are F08's (38mm) & that rebuild kits are stocked at Bevel Heaven. You'd need to be sure prior to ordering though. I sold mine a while ago, otherwise I'd measure the pistons up.

If you can make one of those 4 pot K series ones fit the paralever you can have L'Escargots original one back....

Ok, which was the caliper that motorworks used to sell as a conversion?

I used a K1100 4 pot caliper and machined the lugs down by 4.5mm. It is better than the original but not a massive increase which suits me as, with a knobbly or TKC front tyre, I've had it lock up lots of times even with the original caliper.

6x27x27 is 95% of 2x48x48 which means opposite of wot I sed, needs less fluid!

I have a 6 pot x 27mm Toxico on my GS and it isnt much better than the two pot 48 Brembo.

Only advantage is that there is a better choice of pads, and possibly a better wipe pattern, but even with EBC HH pads it is only marginally better than the Brembo with stock pads, and if I could have found HH pads for the Brembo it would be better.
