Here's the problem, the exterior of the silencer is fine...four or five years left in it. Having removed it, when I lifted it over, it rattled like a bastard. Shook the silencer and it's obvious the internals have broken their fixings as bits of carbonised metal chunks are falling out. There's one big chunk still in there - I can hear it.
What are my options... I don't want to shell out on a bloody expensive replacement - I've already bought a new shocker this year.
Can I get the silencer cut open, remove the crap and weld it back up? (Would it be excessively noisy then?)
Is this all a waste of time?
Shall I jam a cut off broom stick up the hole to mash the broken bit in place (I might leave the broomstick in then)?
Shall I run it with the bits inside rattling?
Shall I just give up and watch Breaking Bad again.
Do I have to buy a new one?
Any clue?
