Having discovered the old GS lights aren't up to much, I noticed there is a twin headlamp unit available. Does anyone have experience of them, I wondered if the fact they come with 35W lamps is because of the output of the charging system or could you up the wattage to something repectable?

I`m running twin Cibie 60/55 headlamps and two 55w spots on the LegoBike which is a 1987 R80G/S with standard alternator and charging system and I`ve not had any trouble.

Mind you,I`m not one of the 'Please don`t run me over' brigade who have their lights on during the daytime..........

Controversial there Tarka?

Some of us are so old we need all the extra light we can get just to see the road in daylight!

Could I ask where you got your Cibie units from?

I`ve got a Kawasaki GPz style twin lamp bikini fairing on the LegoBike and the lamps are part of the fitting kit.
It came from M&P in Swansea.....and it`s on its own brackets because of the Yamaha front end I`ve fitted.

And no,Touracrap is by no means the only place to buy accessories from.

Here`s the bike and fairing.....

Eat more carrots .. and drink less carrot eliminator (beer).

Down 'ere we get twice the light intensity ewe guys get. So lights on in dayligh make no sense. After all these same people who cannot see us, don't see trains, trucks, big red fire engines with flashing lights and a ruddy loud noise maker .. you think your lights make much difference with that kinda person?
