Having struggled myself to adjust the clutch on my r1100gs, and read several threads that other had the same issue, I've made up a couple of modified 13mm spanners to allow you to get to the lock nut on the clutch adjuster easily.

I think a fair price for one of these is £10 posted (in UK, overseas I'll have too look at costs). I have two for sale at the moment, but if more people want one I'll make a batch up.

If things go well, I'll move this post to the vendor section.

Just to add, these aren't designed for mega torque, so if your lock nut is seized you'll have to deal with that with a deep socket before you use this to do the adjustment.

Hi people,

Just to be clear this is just for one modified 13mm spanner. You will still need something to hold the 10mm one while you tighten the 13mm one up. I can make some modified 10mm spanners as well (obviously these will cost a little more on top of the 13mm one), but the 10mm bolt is much easier to get to. so you probably won't need it.

The two 13mm spanners I've made are spoken for, so I'll make another 5 in the next few days.

thanks

I've been thinking about this, I could do a pair of modified spanners (13mm and 10mm) for £15 posted, I just need to take some measurements for the 10mm one.

OK, now done a pair of tools one to tighten 13mm nut and one to hold the 10mm nut whilst you do it (I can get my hand in to hold the 10mm nut , but others may struggle).

Pair of tools (modified 13mm ring spanner and 10mm socket with a handle of right length and angle)
