R1100 GS PRICE?

I've got the opportunity to acquire a M reg r1100gs with 50k on it. The bike has been stood up for a few years now (the owner lost his licence) but seems clean enough. He wants £2000 for it. Can someone give me an idea of what i should be paying? Thinking more like £1500.

what year, if its 1995 ,to 1997 ask if gearbox mod has been done.
they are prone to gear selector problems around 50, to 80,000 miles mark

i bought mine with this fault an was told "it was ok ,its a surging problem they all do it" , bollox, so be aware, i wasnt
