R1100GS Neutral Light

Hello Guys, having just bought a R1100GS for a winter hack and its perfect for the job. I have an issue where at first the neutral light stayed on in first gear and now it stays on in second too? the gear position indicator below the fuel gauge works well. any ideas how to sort this please

Sounds like your neutral switch (located on the back of the gearbox) is faulty.

The gear selector/ indicator switch and the neutral switch are two separated switches located at the rear of the gearbox and operated by a common shaft.

And a barstard to get to;; if everthing else works ok i'd carry on;;and i do.
