R1100GS rear shock swap

Is it just a case of..........
Prop rear of bike whilst on centre stand
Rear wheel off
Unbolt remote adjuster
Remove Bottom shock bolt
Remove top shock bolt
?

On an 1150 yes, but if bike has seen lots of off tar use top conection may not want to move, a touch bent..

Yep, support the bike.
You might need to remove one of the forward seat mounts to remove the top bolt & take note of the hydraulic line route.

slightly off topic but, does anyone know how much a standard rear shock weighs?

Front shock

From memory it is just rear wheel off and support the swing arm, then it is just unbolt old and replace with new.

Fitted this morning before I went to pick up my `new` CB750F2. Took it for a short test run. What a difference! The sag was so bad on the old shock that I have had to adjust the mirrors!
