Got my shock back from ABE after its rebuild ,just to whip off the paralever now and replace the gaiter n give the splines n paralever bearings a clean n regrease ..then I'll be
Well done another bit to the gs today ..not much tho cos got no power @ lock up and doin bits n pieces to it after work .. took my blow torch to the paralever bolts and gave them a good heat up .. left side came loose ok tho the right took a fair amount of heat to release but came loose in the end hope fully get the rear diff off tomorro and change over the gaiter ,n give the bearings the once over n if ok a greasing n mibbe put it together again ....

It seems he lives in your neck of the woods and is doing exactly the same as you are on a similar model. Perhaps if you dropped him a PM, you might be able to help one another out with tools and lubes and some advice.
Well changed the gaiter and cleaned n regreased the bearings were in good condition with no galling greased the splines n put the shaft back in ..bit of a faff that was but got there in the end (only took 2 hrs tho half n hr of that was taken up faffing wi the shaft n gaiter ) jus to torque up the pivot bolts tho I did move the paralever up n down as I was screwing in the adjustable one ..nice n smoooth movement .. will torque them up tomorro ...

Torqued up the paralever bolts today and everything ok .. no play or notchiness .. refitted brake and wheel jus need to ride now... cant wait to get loaded up an go
Was out on the GS today ..must say what a difference the rebuilt rear shock n paralever bolts tightened up makes .. mix of dry n greasy roads still done just over 100 miles of A and B roads .. might have to adjust the gear change down a bit tho po mustve wore adventure boots ..
