I didn't find this answered elsewhere, specifically and hope there exists such a thing as a "quick" answer
, but the only obvious place I can espy for the main unit is by sacrificing the tool roll and mounting the Pro-7 in the void normally occupied by it.
Is there a better spot which would leave the tool roll in situ?
Also, there's a warning in the destructions about splicing into the brake-light feed on certain ABS and brake-warning-system equipped bikes; is the GS/A one of them and if so, what's the next best feed?
I rigged it up "dry" last night with my Alan 456R transceivers and discovered the PTT and power feed supplied by the dealer don't work (they're the ones intended primarily for the Icom FS22, parts 136 and 107, respectively).
Anyone else using this combination (these transceivers, Pro-7 and PTT) that got it all to work? It'll work on VOX, but it's using the VOX feature of the transceivers rather than doing it via the Pro-7.
Cheers,
Rik.
