What is the best Engine oil for R1150GS?

You will get lots of opinions... from practical advice to witty banter.. if you hang out here long enough you'll find out why. Seeing as you are new I'll say that I use Silkolene 20-50. It may not be the best or, the most expensive of lead to you riding rings around rossi... but it is what I put in my bike and it works well.

Hi from another Cambridgeshire resident. This is one of the most commented on subjects so you should find plenty of info if you use the search facility. Not sure you will find much of a concensus though as everybody seems to have their own preference. Good luck!

Castrol Act Evo 20W-50 is what is in my bike, so I'll stick with that

Halfrauds classic car oil in the green metal tin works fine enough

My first post here about the oil ? oh no...

Anyway, I am successfully using an inexpensive fully syntetic oil "Neste 1"
5W/50. Good start, good protection. As I am doing oil changes myself, I can see that after 10 Tkm this oil does not look like dirty water. So it has more stable viscosity compared to some others I have used before.

And yes, i work for NesteOil - Finnish oil company.
